Breaking News: Telehandler Used In Bank Raid

13 July 2017

Dramatic footage of thieves using a Bobcat telehandler to rip a cash machine have been released earlier today by Leicestershire Police Force. Watch the full video here.

The thieves made off with the cash machine after causing immense destruction to the building.

Police are seeking anyone who might have information about the incidence as they are currently making enquiries.

Witnesses are asked to quote “Incident 45 on the 10th of July” when calling non-emergency number 101.

Locals have spoken of the incident stating that: “It’s a disgusting and brazen crime that will have a financial impact in the whole town centre.”

Many local businesses that were due to open the following morning stayed closed due to the “total chaos” surrounding the scene of the crime.

This makes the second story this month of large construction machinery being used in ATM robberies after a “digger” was used to rip a cash machine out of a petrol station wall in Hull on the morning of the 4th at 2:30.

In that case, arrests have already been made but there is still an open call for information. If you know anything regarding the Hull incident the number is the same but the log number is 41 on the 4th July 2017.
