Concrete Legato Blocks

Legato blocks are high strength, robust engineered blocks that interlock. Made without any synthetic materials, they are extremely versatile, strong and durable. They’re suitable for a huge range of construction applications as they are fire resistant, durable and quick to install.

Overview

About Legato Blocks

Legato blocks are an ideal solution for lowering the cost of in-situ concrete requirements: they provide the same advantages with a smaller price tag and let you skip the interruption of “cast on site”.

They are highly resilient and strong. Each standard block produces 1.28m² of wall, manufactured with 50N/mm² concrete – created from Portland cement and locally-sourced aggregates. They have their own cast-in lifting pins for simple loading and installation.

Advantages of Legato Blocks

  • Durable: Their high strength concrete means they are extremely durable for a range of weather conditions, environmental factors and project demands. They can be used as fire resistant walls, in flood defences and more. They’re made from locally sourced aggregates and Portland cement for long lasting durability.
  • Strong: Made using high strength concrete for interlocking blocks (50N/mm²) they are extremely strong and able to withstand a range of demands.
  • Easy installation: The blocks are made with cast-in lifting pins so they can be installed without any specialist lifting equipment. In addition, standard blocks cover 1.28m² so it’s quick to install larger walls, for example.
  • Fire resistant: Legato bricks can be used as part of your site’s FPP (Fire Prevention Plan) as they are Class A1 Fire Resistant.
  • Compliant: They meet the BS EN 1992-1-2004 standard for concrete structure design
  • Eco friendly: Legato blocks are manufactured using low energy techniques to reduce emissions in production. They are 100% recyclable at their end of life, and they are designed to last for 120 years.
  • Competitive pricing: Legato blocks are competitively priced within the concrete and block market, but as the UK’s largest network of construction hire depots, at PAL Hire, we can get you a highly competitive price.

Safety information

While we check our products before delivery, prior to lifting do check the lifting pin for wear / corrosion and check the block for cracks. If the block is cracked or the pin is worn it could fail when being lifted. If you have any issues, please get in touch and our team will be happy to assist.

Impact from any plant equipment has potential to dislodge blocks (in extreme cases). If there’s a risk of any impact, you could consider strapping the top layers of any walls made from Legato bricks to minimise risk.

Things to consider

It is your responsibility to ensure appropriate structural checks are carried out before installing legato blocks.

If you’re building any external structures – such as for storage, for example – please consider any necessary planning permissions. Temporary structures often do not require any additional permissions, but we recommend you check with local authorities.
